At Made to Move, we use multiple types of movement screens to assess your performance through a range of tasks. Paired with the isolated injury assessment as previously mentioned, our use of movement screens aims to identify the fundamental movement patterns that contribute to injuries alongside poor exercise performance. The benefit of using this not only allows your therapist to individualise your programme to rehabilitate an injury but also provide interventions to improve your performance in the gym, on the field or on the road...


A fitness test, also known as a fitness assessment, is comprised of a series of exercises that help evaluate your overall health and physical status. There is wide of range of standardized tests used for these exams, some of which are intended for medical purposes and others of which establish whether you are qualified to participate (such as with the Army combat readiness test). For general health and fitness purposes, the tests are considered the starting point for designing an appropriate exercise program.1 They are meant to ensure you won’t be at risk of harm and provide the trainer with the insights needed to establish clear and effective fitness goals.


1-2-1 Coaching with Made to Move opens a window for in the moment coaching for the development of your chosen characteristics with the confidence that you are being guided to develop your strength and health with the accountability of having a coach. Whether you’ve struggled to stick with a plan or your technique is holding you back, the path to success is through feedback, and programming that only comes with our expert coaches.


Online Coaching with Made to Move combines remote programming and virtual regular video checkins. This allows you to follow an individualised programme whilst having a virtual coach to support you with expert guidance and accountability. Following a video consultation, our coaches produce a speficic plan to develop the charactersistics aligned with your chosen goal. Whether you’ve struggled to stick with a plan, your technique is holding you back, or you are wanting to get better at your chosen path, our expert coaches are on hand to guide you through the process.


To develop your performance in your chosen sport or fitness regime, there a specific skills and fitness characteristicks needed to master. Locomotor skills such as running, jumping, hopping. Manipulative skills such as throwing, catching, kicking, striking. Stability skills such as balance, twisting, turning and bending. Once a movement screening and fitness test is carried out, our coaches develop a plan that is individualised to your availability and ability to ensure that you reach your desired goal safely.


Periodization is the systematic planning of physical training. The aim of this plan is to reach the best possible performance. It involves progressive cycling of programmes that can be as little as weekly to monthly cycles. The periodization is used to break up the training program into the off-season, preseason, inseason, and the postseason to ensure that the optimal volume and intensity is set with adequate rest to maximise performance.
